Unleash your inner hero and support those with disabilities at the BASCA CapeABILITIES 5K!
Join us for the 12th annual BASCA Cape"ABILITIES" 5K/1M walk on September 21, 2024 at 8:00AM in Orange Park. This family-friendly event invites participants of all ages and abilities to run, walk or roll for a great cause!
Get ready to put on your CAPE and show your support for people of ALL abilities at a fantastic event that celebrates Cape"ABILITIES"! Registration kicks off at 7:00 AM, with the race starting at 8:00 AM for all runners. Enjoy a scenic 3.1 mile course through historic Orange Park, receive a commemorative race T-shirt*, compete for overall and age group awards. Chip timing and finish line photos are available for 5K runners.
Run Solo OR as a Team!
RUNNING TEAMS are encouraged! Gather your squad and unlock savings by forming a running team! Teams of 4 or more can score a discount on registration by emailing pammylrea@bascainc.org. Once your team has 4 members, as team captain $10 of your registration fee will be returned to you! Don't miss out on this exclusive offer! Get your team together, come up with a fun name, decorate your capes, and hit the streets of Orange Park in style – because running/walking is always better together!
**Running teams signing up more than 10 members will be given a dedicated space at the event!**
FREE REGISTRATION: Would you like to participate in the race for no cost!? By becoming a Fundraiser and raising $300, you can receive a complimentary registration for the race. If you raise at least $300, we will email you a discount code that will allow you to register for the 5K for free! Encourage others to join you in raising funds to support individuals with intellectual and developmental differences. Click on the fundraising tab and select "become a fundraiser" for more information. All funds raised go directly towards supporting those in need.
BASCA serves adults with intellectual and developmental differences by providing residential services, vocational training, life skills programs and community inclusion activities.
*To be guaranteed your t-shirt size you must register by September 1st. After that date, it will be first come first serve.
